Annual Teen Activity Day
Diabetes Ireland is delighted to announce our 10th Annual Teen Activity Day taking place in four locations on 13th July 2018.
The locations include:
- Liliput Adventure Centre, Lough Ennell, Co Westmeath
- Dunmore East Adventure Centre, Stoney Cove, Dunmore East, Co Waterford
- Basecamp Adventure Park, Briskagh, Co Limerick
- Donegal Adventure Centre, Bundoran, Co Donegal
The aim of the day is:
- To encourage teens to engage in adventure activities and learn to maintain good management of their diabetes while doing so.
- To meet other teenagers with diabetes and most importantly to have fun!

National Diabetes Cup
This year’s National Diabetes Cup will take place on 25th August 2018.
We are so happy to let you know the Diabetes Ireland National Diabetes Cup is back and will take place on Saturday 25th August, at the National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin, from 11am to 4pm.
What’s happening on the day?
The National Diabetes Cup is a 5-a-side soccer tournament for young people, aged 4-15, living with Type 1 Diabetes. There will be categories for different age groups, and each team will be guaranteed at least 4 games. Girls and boys will play together and there are prizes for the winning teams.
On the day we’ll also have food for everyone who attends, a fun zone and a mini kids coaching session for children aged 4-6.
Your family is invited to come along too. It’s a great family day out and promises to be lots of fun and a fantastic way for you to meet and play with other young people living with Type 1 Diabetes.
How can register your place?
It’s only €20 for each player to register. Your registration fee also entitles you to a t-shirt and trophy on the day, and your family get to come along for free! The quickest and easiest way to register is through our website at www.diabetes.ie/event/national-diabetes-junior-cup-2018/
