Great Ireland Run 15^th April

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Great Ireland Run on 15^th April, and who fundraised for Diabetes Ireland.

A special thanks to “Team Gray” who took part in the Great Ireland Run, in memory of their brother Liam, and raised a massive €3,110.53 for Diabetes Ireland. Thanks so much to everyone who took part and to those who supported Team Gray, we are so grateful.

Michael O’Heir – The Cara Challenge

Brigid Cathy contacted us earlier in the year to let us know that her friend Michael O’Heir was taking part in the 2018 Cara Challenge to fundraise for Diabetes Ireland. The challenge, which took place in Bundoran, Co Donegal, consisted of a 10 mile run and 21k cycle! A fantastic €635 was raised. Thank you!

Andrew Keaveney – Paris2Nice Cycle

A special thank you to Andrew Keaveney who took part in the Paris2Nice Cycle and raised over €38,000 for Diabetes Ireland. The money kindly raised and donated by Andrew will go to support Diabetes Ireland in the delivery of children and teen activities.

Donna Gonnelly – Road Race

Donna Gonnelly contacted us in March to let us know her partner was taking place in a road race and they wished to fundraise for Diabetes Ireland, in memory of her partner’s Dad. The team managed to raise a brilliant €114.54. Thank you!

Jackie Silver – Christmas Fair

Thank you to Jackie Silver and all at the Silver Eel in Roscommon, who held a Santa Visit and Christmas Fair and raised a fantastic €500.

Fenit Coastal Cycle 24^th March

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Fenit Coastal Cycle, Saturday 24^th March, with a donation of monies raised being given to Diabetes Ireland.

Great Limerick Run 6^th April

This year Diabetes Ireland were delighted to be named as one of the charity partner’s for the Great Limerick Run. A special thanks to everyone who took part, and in particular those who fundraised for us.

Lynda Miller – Head Shave

Lynda took the brave step of shaving her head to raise vital funds for Diabetes Ireland! Lynda raised a fantastic €198.50! A huge well done and thank you to Lynda!

Table Quiz for Westmeath Diabetes

Thank you to everyone who attended the Table Quiz in aid of Westmeath Diabetes on 22^nd February 2018 in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar. Thanks also to those who organised it and to Michael Duffy, Quiz Master on the night.

Aglish Drama Group

Michelle from Diabetes Ireland attended a cheque presentation by the ‘’Aglish Drama Group’’ who through their production of ‘’For Better for Worse’’ in the Clarke Hall, Borrisokane fundraised €2,000 for Diabetes Ireland.

Rachel Gallagher – West of Ireland Women’s Mini Marathon 6^th May

A special thanks to Rachel Gallagher who took part in the West of Ireland Women’s Mini Marathon on 6^th May and raised over €277 for Diabetes Ireland.
