The Sligo/Leitrim Parents Group in conjunction with Diabetes Ireland would like to invite you to an Information 

Topic: ‘Psychological Aspects of Diabetes: From Toddlers to Teens’
Speaker: Vincent McDarby –Senior Clinical Psychologist, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
Venue: Hazelwood Room, Sligo Park Hotel, Dublin Road, Sligo.
Date: Friday 17th October. 7:30 pm.

It will be an interactive session with plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout. This particular session is suitable for parents or guardians not children or teens.

Vincent McDarby holds a BA in psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology from NUI Galway, as well as a Diploma in Professional Psychology (Clinical) from the Psychological Society of Ireland. He has worked as Clinical Psychologist in Ireland and New Zealand in areas including risk assessment, child development and cardiac rehabilitation and was the Senior Clinical Psychologist with the HSE’s Risk Assessment & Consultation for five years. Vincent has worked as the Senior Clinical Psychologist on the diabetes team at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin for the past seven years. He is also Principal Clinical Psychologist with the National Children’s Research centre where he is undertaking research in the use of social network sites to support adolescent diabetes.
