Yoghurt, Nut and Banana Surprise!

yoghurtBananaNutsEating nuts as part of a balanced diet can be good for your heart. They contain less saturated fats and more mono and polyunsaturated fats, protein and other nutrients.

Carbohydrate: Remember when looking at the nutritional information opposite, you must count the total carbohydrate and not just the ‘of which is sugars’ amount. If you want to reduce the total amount of carbohyradte in the recipe you could omit or reduce the amount of honey.

Ingredients – Serves 2 Adults

  • 1 small pot (125g) of low-fat natural yoghurt
  • 1 ripe medium banana, cut into small pieces
  • 1 dessertspoon of honeyyougurtbanananutsurprise-Nut-table
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped nuts (e.g. hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds)
  • 80g of muesli


  • Put the chopped banana into the bottom of a bowl
  • Add the muesli
  • Pour over the yogurt
  • Mix in the honey
  • Sprinkle with nuts
