Dexcom, mylife Diabetes Care, and CamDiab announce the integration of the Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system into the myLoop automated insulin delivery (AID) system, powered by the CamAPS FX app. The integration expands sensor compatibility with myLoop and enables people living with type 1 diabetes to benefit from Dexcom G7’s fast warm-up time and proven accuracy, while offering greater choice and flexibility in their daily therapy.
myLoop integrates the YpsoPump insulin pump, the CamAPS FX app, and compatible sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. The close technical collaboration between Dexcom and CamDiab, in partnership with mylife Diabetes Care, made it possible to add Dexcom G7 to the smartphone-based myLoop ecosystem. Together, mylife Diabetes Care, CamDiab and Dexcom continue to advance adaptive solutions designed to support glycaemic management and help reduce the demands of diabetes care.
myLoop is powered by the CamAPS FX app from CamDiab, an advanced and personalised adaptive hybrid closed-loop app that automatically adjusts insulin delivery based on your sensor glucose readings. ‘We are proud to see the CamAPS FX algorithm continue to power meaningful advances in automated insulin delivery,” said Professor Roman Hovorka, Founder of CamDiab. “Integrating Dexcom G7 illustrates CamDiab’s commitment to bringing market-leading innovation to users of myLoop and ultimately improving the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes.’
Dr Kate Gajewska, Diabetes Ireland Clinical Manager for Advocacy and Research, welcomed this development: It is great to see more and more Automated Insulin Delivery options available to people with type 1 diabetes in Ireland. Ongoing integration between different systems offers greater choice and enables decisions based on individual preferences, rather than system connectivity, which is very welcome by many.
