GALWAY Type 2 Diabetes Roundtable Workshop

Ask the Experts about Your Diabetes
Have you ever wanted to sit face to face with the diabetes experts outside of a hospital setting to learn more about your condition? Diabetes Ireland is delighted to offer you this opportunity. We have gathered four experts from a variety of fields in the area of Type 2 diabetes to answer YOUR questions. The meeting is being held in Galway City on Thursday February 28th 7:30 – 9:30pm
On the night, each expert will give a 5 minute introduction on their topic. Following this, you and fellow attendees will be divided into small groups (no more than 12) at a round discussion table. Our experts will move from table to table in rotation for a 15 minute Question & Answer sessions. This allows for easy conversation and a chance to ask them questions about your diabetes, or just to listen in.

Consultant Endocrinologist – Professor Sean Dinneen – “Medical Management of Diabetes
Senor Dietitian – Ms. Ciara Heverin – “Lastest Dietary Guidelines for Managing Diabetes”
Diabetes Nurse Specialist – Ms. Brita Jordan – “Understanding your Numbers; Why Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Glucose Levels are so Important”
Senior Podiatrist – Ms Emma Hynes – “Tips for Self-Management of your Feet”
