Kildare: School Diabetes Awareness Day
March 8, 2016Free
A Diabetes Ireland School Awareness Day will take place in St Bridgids Primary School, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare on the 8th of March.
Vicky Doyle, Health Promotion Officer with Diabetes Ireland, will be completing a series of school visits in the Leinster area in 2016 as part of our new Schools Diabetes Awareness Programme. Students and teachers will also learn the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, how to handle emergency situations for students with type 1 and receive advice on healthy diet and exercise to help prevent Type 2 diabetes.
If your school would like to take part in the Schools Diabetes Awareness Programme, please call Vicky on 01 842 8118 or email [email protected]
