The next CODE diabetes education programme is due to start in Granard on Thursday June 11th. Participants lucky enough to secure themselves a place for the 6 month programme will attend for three 2 hour sessions in the first 3 weeks (1 session per week) and a further session in 6 months’ time. 

The programme called CODE (Community Orientated Diabetes Education) is aimed at helping people, whether they are newly diagnosed or whether they have Type 2 diabetes a long time, make informed decisions about their own diabetes management and take control of their condition and thus improving their quality of life. CODE is provided free of charge by Diabetes Ireland.
