Diabetes Ireland 10KM May Bank Holiday Weekend Challenge
April 30, 2022 - May 1, 2022
This coming May Bank Holiday Weekend, April 30th – May 2nd, 2022, Diabetes Ireland needs your support.
We are asking you to complete a 10KM walk, run, or cycle. Whether you do it at once, spread it over the weekend, or split it with family and friends, the impact is the same.
No matter how you do it, our key message is that exercise is good for everyone and is even more so if you have diabetes, so get active and by taking part you can also help raise vital funds for Diabetes Ireland. This year, the funds you raise will go towards supporting our helpline and education services for people with diabetes who need our help today.
Information and Education Services
Last year, over 200,000 people accessed our information service either online or by contacting our helpline. Many others attended our education programmes, workshops, and webinars. In 2022, we need your support to continue our work in providing you with up-to-date information on all aspects of diabetes.
For the first time since 2019, we plan to hold our first face-to-face summer picnics for young children diagnosed with diabetes over the past few years and their families providing them with an opportunity to meet each other in a family fun environment.
