The Annual General Meeting of Diabetes Ireland which will be held in the Regency Hotel, Swords Road, Drumcondra, Dublin on Sunday 16 November at 12 noon.
The AGM will form part of an exciting meeting which we have put together for you. This year, we will separate themed patient education streams for people with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and for children and their parents. Each stream will have 3 presentations which will focus on the issues of interest to you (see agenda below).
The title of the meeting is “Head to Toe Management” and the overall purpose is to inform people with diabetes on how to cope with feelings at and from diagnosis onwards, how best to manage their condition from day to day and allay their concerns on the future development of complications through action. There is a wide range of presenters on the day ranging from Consultant Endocrinologists, Ophthalmologists, Psychologists, Diabetes Nurse Specialists, Podiatrists and people with diabetes themselves (see agenda for more detail on the individual workshops).
With such a wide range of presentations going on simultaneously, we are limited in terms of places for each stream so pre-booking is essential if you wish to attend on the day. To register, simply fill in the form attached and post back in the business reply envelope or alternatively contact Siobhan on 1850 909 909. We are charging a nominal fee of €5 to members (€10 to non-members) for attendance at the workshop stream of your choice. Of course, attendance at the Annual General Meeting is free of charge.
