Dietitian and Regional Development Officer of Diabetes Ireland, Ms Sinead Powell  will provide a simple introduction to Type 2 diabetes and how it can be delayed or prevented. By looking at the role of carbohydrates and sugars in our everyday diet, she will illustrate how small modifications to meals and portion control can reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes and help us manage glucose control in diabetes. She will also discuss the impact of exercise on Type 2 diabetes management and prevention.
