Diabetes Ireland’s  education programme for people with Type 2 is called CODE.  CODE allows people from the local community who have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes to talk in a supportive atmosphere- in a small group.

Topics :  diabetes is explained, risk factors, signs and symptoms, healthy eating, physical activity, personal goal setting, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. Our flexible approach allows the sessions to be tailored to meet the self identified needs of each group.
