A busy month ahead- World Diabetes Day 2017

We are delighted to launch a new book for our Type 1 community, useful for both the person in managing their condition and the health professional as a reference book. Everything you need to know is now in one book. It will be available in hospitals and from our Care Centres in Dublin and Cork or free to members by contacting us. Download a copy of the book here

World Diabetes Day is fast approaching with many events taking place across the month. This year we are hosting a Diabetes Education Meeting on Sunday 12th and a large Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes screening on Tuesday 14th. Click here for more details.

Every year the Health Promotion team at Diabetes Ireland support their fellow professionals in hospitals and communities across the country. We recognise their hard work in caring for our community who have Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes. We meet them in the hospital setting, bringing all of our diabetes literature to ensure they are well stocked for the year ahead. We screen the staff in the hospital for diabetes and discuss recent research findings and updates.  Many carers tend to care for others first and sometimes can overlook their own health and well-being. We feel privileged to be able to support our peers in the Diabetes field. Below is a listing of these events and in some hospitals we also screen visitors.

Our Car Raffle is an important source of funds that allow us to be active for members and the diabetes community in general. Have you bought a ticket yet as there are just 7 days left? Click here to support our activities.

Finally, here is a snapshot of events coming up in November for World Diabetes Day 2017. We look forward to hearing from you or meeting you at one of these events.
