SUMMARY:Diabetes Ireland 10KM May Bank Holiday Weekend Challenge
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThis coming  May Bank Holiday Weekend\,  April  30th – May 2nd\, 2022\, Diabetes Ireland needs your support. \n  \nWe are asking you to complete a 10KM walk\, run\, or cycle. Whether you do it at once\, spread it over the weekend\, or split it with family and friends\, the impact is the same. \n  \nNo matter how you do it\, our key message is that exercise is good for everyone and is even more so if you have diabetes\, so get active and by taking part you can also help raise vital funds for Diabetes Ireland. This year\, the funds you raise will go towards supporting our helpline and education services for people with diabetes who need our help today. \n  \nInformation and Education Services \nLast year\, over 200\,000 people accessed our information service either online or by contacting our helpline. Many others attended our education programmes\, workshops\, and webinars. In 2022\, we need your support to continue our work in providing you with up-to-date information on all aspects of diabetes. \n  \nFamily Events \nFor the first time since 2019\, we plan to hold our first face-to-face summer picnics for young children diagnosed with diabetes over the past few years and their families providing them with an opportunity to meet each other in a family fun environment. \n  \n\nOne of the easiest ways to raise funds for our vital services is to set up your personal 10km Challenge Fundraising Page. (justgiving.com/campaign/diabetesireland10kmaybankholidaychallenge2022)\nJust Giving makes it simple to share your page with your family\, friends\, and work colleagues through social media and email to let them know what you are doing and ask for their support.\n\n  \n\nMake a personal or family donation through our online donation page. Every donation will help maintain our helpline and education services.\n\n  \nIf you have any questions\, please contact us on 01 8428118 or email info@diabetes.ie \n  \nOver the May Bank Holiday weekend\, let us know how you are getting on – are you walking\, running\, or cycling? Are you taking on the challenge yourself or with family? \n  \nPost your photos on social media and tag us on Instagram\, Twitter\,  Facebook\, LinkedIn & TikTok\, and do not forget to use our hashtag #donatetodiabetes \n  \nAlternatively\, you can email your photos to info@diabetes.ie  and we will share them for you. \n
