SUMMARY:Teen Activity Day
DESCRIPTION:Our aim is to encourage teens to engage in adventure activities and learn  good management of their diabetes while doing so. They will meet other teenagers with diabetes and most importantly they will have FUN. \n\nThe teen activity day will take place on Friday 13th July 2018\n\n\nThe day is open to all children with diabetes aged 10-16 years.\n\n\nEvents will be held in 3 centres nationwide and you choose which centre you would like to attend.\n\n\nWe plan to run buses from a number of localities to each of the centres where we have adequate participants.\n\n\nA hot lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day.\n\n\nAll centres will be fully supervised by trained instructors\, volunteer leaders and a healthcare professional.\nPrice €25 for the day

DESCRIPTION:An education course\, developed by the Diabetes Ireland\, is being run at our Care Centre in Northwood \,Santry. \nThe aim of the course is to help you manage your diabetes and it will cover topics such as diabetes knowledge and management\, nutrition and physical activity and self-monitoring of diabetes control. \nThe course will be run by: Sinead Powell\, Dietitian\, Diabetes Ireland \n  \nEach session will be 2 hours long and includes tea/ coffee break. This year we have decided to change our venue and to return to Corcagh Park. \n  \nFor those of you who were unable to join us last year\, Corkagh Park is in Clondalkin\, easy enough to get to from the N7 and M50.There is a large playground\, a picnic area and plenty of open green space for fun and games. DESCRIPTION:The family of the late Pauline Cooney are holding their annual Golf Classic on Saturday June 9th\, in the Rathbane Golf Club Crossagalla\, Limerick to raise much needed funds for Diabetes Ireland. \n  \nPauline\, from Shannon\, Co. Clare\, passed away on March 17th 2014 due to complications of living decades with diabetes. This event\, which is in its third year\, is organised by members of Pauline’s family to honour her memory and to raise much needed funds for all the work that Diabetes Ireland do to raise awareness about diabetes. \n  \nThe Cooney family would love to hear from people who would like to team up to play the 18 holes in Rathbane Golf Club but would also appreciate businesses Sponsoring a tee box\, Sponsoring a prize for the winning teams or Makeing a donation to the Clare branch of Diabetes Ireland. \n  \nAll proceeds go to Clare branch of Diabetes Ireland.
