DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to sit with local diabetes experts outside of a hospital setting to learn more about Type 2 diabetes?\n\n\nAre you from areas Clare\, Limerick\, or Tipperary?\n\n\nDiabetes Ireland is delighted to offer you this opportunity. We are facilitating this interactive educational session online\, for people living with Type 2 diabetes.\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\nOnce the Health Professionals are introduced to the audience – the attendees are divided into 2 smaller groups as this format allows for easy conversation and gives everyone the opportunity to ask questions  – or just to listen. After 20 minutes your expert will leave your group and you will be joined by the other health professional.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTuesday 15th March 2022\n2pm – 4pm\n\nOur Local Professionals for the session are:\n  \n\n“Looking after your mental health with Type 2 diabetes ”  \nPauline Lynch\, Counsellor Diabetes Ireland \n  \n“The role of Healthy Eating in Diabetes self-management” \nTonya O Neill\, Senior Diabetes Dietitian \n  \n“Understanding my numbers; blood pressure\, cholesterol and glucose levels” \nBrid Collins\, Diabetes Nurse Specialist \n  \n“Tips for self-management of your feet” \nDoireann McLoughlin\, Podiatrist\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note:\nIf you are registering by email\, be sure to let us know that you are registering for “Ask the Expert” meeting March 15th at 2pm to ensure you are signed up for the correct meeting.\n\nThe session will be held via Zoom\, and we will contact you via email with participant guidelines and login details for the session.
