SUMMARY:GALWAY CITY– Type 2 & Pre-diabetes Education Course (CODE)
DESCRIPTION:  \nStructured education course for Type 2 & Pre-diabetes  \nThe programme is facilitated by Ms. Pauline Dunne\, Senior Dietition with Diabetes Irelandt  and consists of 4 sessions of 2 hour duration.  The first 3 sessions take place over 3 consecutive weeks Westside Community Resource Centre\, Seamus Quirke Road\, Galway\, H91 C1KX (Next to Westside Library / Church) . \nWeek 1: Thursday 16th April  from   2:00 pm – 4:30pm \nWeek 2: Thursday 23rd  April   from   2:00 pm – 4:00pm \nWeek 3: Thursday 30th April   from   2:00 pm – 4:00pm \nWeek 4: At 6 months     Thursday 24th September 2020  from 2:00pm – 4:00pm \n (You will be sent a reminder letter) \nIf you are interested in a diabetes education course in this area\, please call Regina on 071 914 6001 to register for the next course. \nCODE is free of charge. \nTopics covered in CODE include diabetes explained\, risk factors\, signs and symptoms\, healthy eating\, physical activity\, personal goal setting\, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. The six month session looks at the review of achievements and personal goal setting.
