SUMMARY:GALWAY – Type 2 & Pre-diabetes Education Course (CODE)
DESCRIPTION:  \nStructured education course for Type 2 & Pre-diabetes  \nThe programme is facilitated by Ms. Elaine Newell\, Diabetes Nurse Specialist  and consists of 4 sessions of 2 hour duration.  The first 3 sessions take place over 3 consecutive weeks Westside Community Resource Centre\, Seamus Quirke Road\, Galway. \nWeek 4: This Course is now FULL \nIf you are interested in a diabetes education course in this area\, please call Regina on 071 914 6001 to register for the next course. \nCODE is free of charge. \nTopics covered in CODE include diabetes explained\, risk factors\, signs and symptoms\, healthy eating\, physical activity\, personal goal setting\, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. The six month session looks at the review of achievements and personal goal setting.
