SUMMARY:Pauline Cooney Memorial Golf Classic
DESCRIPTION:The family of the late Pauline Cooney will be holding their annual Golf Classic on Saturday the 23rd of March. The Classic will take place in the East Clare Golf Club\, Bodyke\, Co. Clare. All the funds raised from the event will go to the Clare Branch of Diabetes Ireland. \n  \nPauline\, who was from Shannon\, Co. Clare\, passed away on the 17th of March 2014 due to complications of having lived with diabetes for decades. The event is in its fourth year and is organised by members of Pauline’s family to honor her memory. The event also helps to raise much needed funds for the work that Diabetes Ireland do. \n  \nThe Cooney family are looking for people who want to team up to play the 18 holes in East Clare Golf Club. They would love for businesses to sponsor a tee box or a prize for the winning team. The family would also appreciate donations in the Cooney family to the Clare Branch of Diabetes Ireland through the Diabetes Ireland website: www.diabetes.ie/fundraise-for-us/donate/ \n  \nPauline’s husband Gerry has Type 2 diabetes and has been a member of the Clare Diabetes Support group for many years.
