DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to sit face to face with the diabetes experts outside of a hospital setting to learn more about your diabetes? Diabetes Ireland is delighted to offer you this opportunity. In partnership with Novartis\, we have gathered four experts from a variety of fields in the area of Type 2 diabetes to answer YOUR questions. To do this\, join us \n  Monday\, April 10th \n7pm – 9pm  \n The Walter Raleigh Hotel\, Youghal\, Co. Cork\, \n  \nThe speakers & topics for discussion are: \n  \n\n“Good Eye Health & the Diabetic Retina Screen Service \n\n  Dr Mark James\, Consultant Ophthalmologist\, Cork University Hospital \n  \n\n“Carbohydrates and how to control blood glucose: What do I need to know?” \n\n              Ms Shirley Beattie\, Senior Dietitian\, Cork University Hospital \n  \n\n“Understanding my numbers; why blood pressure\, cholesterol and glucose levels are     so important” \n\n  Ms Trish Coady\, Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist\, Cork University Hospital. \n  \n\n“Tips for self-management of your feet” \n\n   Ms. Mary Adams\, Podiatrist\, Cork Care Centre\, Diabetes Ireland\,  \nOn the night\, each speaker will give a 5-minute introduction on their topic. Following this\, attendees will be divided into small groups (no more than 12) at a round discussion table. Diabetes experts will move from table to table in rotation for a 15-minute Q&A sessions.
