DESCRIPTION:Diabetes Ireland’s  education programme for people with Type 2 is called CODE.  CODE allows people from the local community who have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes to talk in a supportive atmosphere- in a small group. \nTopics :  diabetes is explained\, risk factors\, signs and symptoms\, healthy eating\, physical activity\, personal goal setting\, complications and the necessity of regular follow up and the importance of optimal diabetes control. Our flexible approach allows the sessions to be tailored to meet the self identified needs of each group. \nEvent Organiser: Regina Patton 071 914 6001 \nFacilitator: Ms Clair Naughton  – Diabetes Ireland \nVenue: Le Chéile Family Resource Centre\, Tucker Street\, Castlebar\, Co Mayo. \nStart date        Tuesday November 8th from 2pm to 4.30pm \n2nd week          Tuesday November 15th from 2pm to 4pm \n3rd week         Tuesday November 22nd   from 2pm to 4pm \nAt 6 months TBC \nEach session will be 2 hours long and includes a tea/coffee break. There is no cost involved in attending this course. Group numbers are limited to 16 so early booking is essential
