SUMMARY:Clare Type 1 Diabetes Meetup
DESCRIPTION:The next meeting of the Clare Type 1 Diabetes Support group takes place on Tuesday 19th April at 8pm in The Temple Gate Hotel\, Ennis. The topic of this meeting is “Type 1 Diabetes and Living with Complications”. \nOur guest speaker is AineMae O’Mahony who has lived with type 1 diabetes for 25 years\, and lost her sight at the age of 26. She is the manager of community radio station\, Radio Corca Baiscinn\, in Loop Head\, Co Clare\, managing 25 members of staff and volunteers. \nThis meeting will focus on how the complications of type 1 diabetes are not a sign of failure. And by talking about the these complications of diabetes we may take some of the fear out of it for ourselves. \nOur group is informal and made up of adults with type 1 diabetes and parents of children with diabetes.
