Podiatry & Orthotics

Footcare Services

Did you know the average 60 year old will have walked  around the Earth about 4 times.

Good Footcare is essential  for everyone but people with Diabetes, Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis need to be extra careful.  Serious complications such as foot ulcers or amputations are avoidable and you can also avoid pain, distress, reduced fitness for everyday life, time lost at work and loss of earnings by simply putting a care plan in place.

tip symbolAim to have a foot assessment with a Podiatrist at least once a Year

Diabetes Ireland opened its first Care Centre in Dublin, 2014 and  opened a second centre in Cork in June 2016.

We provide an excellent Podiatry service at these centres which is affordable, fast, effective and has no long waiting lists. We recruit people with many years of clinical experience to ensure you receive a high quality service.

In 2015,  451 Irish people with diabetes had a lower limb amputation

A further 2,400  had to stay in hospital for foot ulceration treatment

Up to 80% of this can be avoided with
good, regular Foot Care
