Let’s face it, accidents can happen at any time, anywhere, day or night, at home, at work, on holiday, on the road or during sport and leisure activities.
The Diabetes Federation of Ireland in association with ERM recently launched a specially negotiated Personal Accident Protection Plan to members and their families. From as little as €2.20 per month for Individual cover and €4.40 per month for Family cover the Plan provides a high level of protection in the event of an accident.
The scheme is available to all members under 65 years and provides generous cash benefits for accidental injuries resulting in death, permanent disabilities, paralysis, hospitalisation, convalescence and specified fractures or burns. There are 10 levels of cover available, referred to as units, and with each unit purchased your cover increases. So you can select a level of cover that suits your circumstances.
The table below gives you an indication of the generous level of benefit available for each unit purchased.

Your spouse/partner and family can be included for the same level of benefit as you, with some small restrictions of the level of cover available to children.
